MJLArt Custom Pet Portrait Terms & Conditions

Important information about ordering, payment, delivery, and use of your custom pet portrait.

These terms and conditions outline the process of commissioning a custom pet portrait with MJLArt. By placing an order and paying a deposit, you agree to the terms set out below.

Ordering Your Portrait

You can get in touch via the contact form, email, or social media to discuss your requirements. Portraits are created from digital photographs, which can be sent via email, WhatsApp, or messaging platforms.

Guidance can be provided to help you select the most suitable reference photos for your portrait.

Reference Photos

Clear, high-quality digital photographs are required to achieve the best result. Providing multiple images is recommended to capture your pet’s personality, markings, and details accurately.

MJLArt reserves the right to refuse a commission if suitable reference images are not provided. In such cases, any deposit paid will be refunded.

Pricing & Payment

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking
The remaining balance is due upon completion
Artwork will not be dispatched until full payment is received
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date provided

Timescales

Completion times vary depending on size and complexity but are typically 2–3 weeks from the agreed start date.

Approval & Final Payment

Once completed, a preview image will be sent for approval. The remaining balance must be paid within 14 days.

If payment is not received within this timeframe, MJLArt reserves the right to sell the artwork or reproductions.

Delivery

UK postage is included and all artwork is securely packaged. Delivery is via tracked or signed-for service.

International shipping is available at an additional cost. Any customs duties or import fees are the responsibility of the customer.

Copyright & Usage

All artwork is original and created by Matthew Lloyd. Copyright and reproduction rights remain with the artist.

Artwork may not be reproduced or used commercially without prior permission.

MJLArt may use images of completed artwork for portfolio and marketing purposes unless otherwise agreed.
